Located in downtown Honolulu, the Iolani Palace was originally built in 1882 by the late King Kalakaua, and then restored in 1969. The interior of the palace is adorned with European furniture that reflects Hawaii's old culture. The palace is open for tours between Wednesday and Saturday weekly with advanced reservations. On Fridays the Royal Hawaiian Band performs in the Kalakaua Cornonation Bandstand.
